Why friends DON'T refer friends to us in business?

Some possible mistakes could be:
1. We appear to be too busy and our friends/clients are kind to us thinking that we have no time anyway.
2. Our friends/clients thought that we are not so suitable to their friends.
3. We have not done a good job for previous businesses referred to us.

If we want to grow and have referrals in business, always bear in mind to speak and act professionally at all times, avoiding possible misperception by our friends/clients, do our best and show our appreciation to our referrals.

Lesson learnt from my past experiences.

Faster!

Yes!!! My Team was 2nd in May and 1st in branch in June!
For myself, I am a winner for the 2nd time for the quarterly achievers contest dinner.
The photo was taken at Singapore Turf Club for Q2AC.
Nice place, nice company, with 3 of my team members also qualified as winners... and "I FEEL GOOD!"
For Q2, I have qualified as a Sales Manager but not among the top 5 to go for the dinner. I have told all my team members I want them to bring me for dinner in Q3 as a SM instead of my own production. It will be most ideal to be a winner under both Sales Manager and Producers categories this quarter.
Higher, Faster, Stronger!!!
Go for it! Reach for our dreams!

We gotta be number 1

*some of Grandeur team members with family members.
To be the number 1 team in NTUC Income is always one of my goals.

So far for the past years with Income, I have managed to stay among top 10 teams most of the years regardless of whatever measurement the management uses to measure team performance.

This year, year 2009, I would like to see my team continues to be the number 1 team in ACE Alliance branch, among the top 8 teams in NTUC Income for Beijing incentive trip and 100% of my team members to qualify for Income Summit Club.

Besides bringing my team to be among the top teams, I would also like to contribute as a producer, I have already qualified myself as Income Summit Club member in the 1st quarter, the next step would be to qualify for Beijing Incentive and also to be among top 10 as an executive organiser.

Calling all Grandeur team members to put in the best effort that we can be. Whether you are 30, 50, married with children to look after, pregnant or what, there is a time for fun, family, ourselves, there is also a time for work.

Live our life with no regrets!

No one plans to be a loser, we are borned to be a winner!

We gotta be number 1 for year 2009!

Let's do it together as a team! With Grandeur, with ACE Alliance with NTUC Income!

There is always time to relax...

We are always busy, busy and very busy... No time to eat slowly, no time to walk slowly, rushing for dateline, common saying of "time is money", etc etc.

How much time have we really spent on ourselves, with our loved ones?

Comparing to the amount of time spent in work, it's really negligible.

6-8 hrs of sleep.
8-12 hrs of work.
1-3 hrs of meal time.
1-4 hrs travelling time.
2-4 hrs of tv time.

How much time do we have for ourselves?

Think about it.

Do we really want to wait till we retire then do all those things we like?

There is always a time to work, play and relax.

Be kind to yourself, find time to be with yourselves and your loved ones.

Just one more

It's so amazing on how our mind, how the universe works when we input certain request / information.

Last Friday, I sent sms to 7 out of 13 team members to have "just one more" during the weekend and amazingly, 4 of the 7 team members submitted a total of 8 proposals.

Do you have similar experiences?

When we think it is possible, somehow we will get the task done. If we believe we can, somehow we can make it happened!

The first step is... "Believe that you can achieve!"

Frustration VS Opportunities

Would you stay on in a management post controlled by your superior or move on to a more challenging ground?

In management / office environment, your pay, your movement, your promotion, are being closely monitored and you are answerable to your superior.

The effort that you put in may not be equivalent to your salary.

Your superior got to like you first before you have the opportunity to take on a post at a higher level and most importantly... one must know how to "sweet talk" - to present yourself to bosses.

Otherwise, your effort may not be recorgnised.

Sacrifices for moving out of management role would be - no more fixed pay

One door closes, the other door is opened...

Opportunities are right there for everyone of us!

The question is - "Do you dare to go for it?"

Long term? Short term?

Do you plan in long term or for short term?

It is ususally the poor that are planning for the short-term. They plan to have enough money to pay off their credit card bills, phone bills, monthly income tax, to get a new branded wallet etc etc at the end of the month or few months later. It is because they do not have sufficient, hence planning for the short term and it is because they are poor planner, that is why unable to plan for the long term. It is a vicious cycle.

As for the rich, they normally think for the long run. The rich would usually enjoy life with their money, with a certain % for investment and saving to achieve financial freedom for the future.

No matter how little money one has, we must start cultivating the habit of managing our money.

So the key is: Get started!
